每年8月份，汕头市外语外贸学校都会有新的外籍教师到任。“牛津外教看汕头”系列记录了外教在汕头工作和生活的奇妙经历和感受，供广泛英语学习者阅读和分享。
汕头大学是粤东地区唯一一所综合大学，由著名侨商李嘉诚先生捐资筹办。由于校园环境优雅，建筑物设计独特，也成为汕头市的著名景点之一。游览汕头大学时不能错过的地方有水库、人工湖等。这里附近，还有北回归线标志塔，也是游客必去的景点。本文是Michael写的有关汕头大学的一段英文描述，供英语学习爱好者阅读！
Located several
kilometers outside the city is Shantou
University, which has a
truly beautiful campus filled with tall trees and beautiful plants of many
kinds. A charming artificial lake in the center of the main garden gives the
scene a rare beauty. Small curving bridges and stone benches attract students
into the open air to read and study, or simply to contemplate nature and
learning. The large white university buildings, designed in a modern and
imposing style, seem to fit naturally into the scenery. Students love to go
rambling in the surrounding rocky hills and occasionally hike to the place
where the Tropic of Cancer passes through the Chaoshan area, about 22
kilometers away.
