This is one of the largest and prettiest parks in central Shantou. Inside there is a small zoo where you can see monkeys, a hippo, tigers, and various other animals and birds. There is a daily animal performance at the zoo where you can see bears, dogs and tigers ride bicycles, perform tricks, and obey the commands of their trainer.

The park also has a small boating lake where it is possible to ride in small boats and admire the trees and greenery of the park. Charming bridges and walkways lead the visitor on a pleasant stroll through the attractive scenery. The park is popular with Shantou¡¯s older people, who love to come to the park both to perform and listen to Chaoshan opera, ancient tales acted and sung to music played on traditional instruments. A funfair, roller skating rink, and a swimming pool attract younger people to the park.
